Asia’s Superstar, Super Junior, Releasing the 4th Regular Album on May 13!!
Announcing the New Hit to Sweep Asian Charts in 2010 Following the Greatest Hit of Asia in 2009, ‘SORRY, SORRY’!

Asia’s finest group Super Junior is making a grand comeback with the 4th regular album. The new album will be released on May 13th and it is expected to bring a sweeping success throughout Korea as well as Asia again in 2010 as they did in 2009.

Last year, Super Junior topped 250,000 copies in record sales with ‘SORRY, SORRY’, the 3rd regular album they released in a year and half became the top selling record of 2009 and they also swept various music charts in Korea and a number of countries in Asia including China, Taiwan, Thailand, and Philippines, starting the ‘SORRY, SORRY’ craze all over the Asia. Also, ‘SORRY, SORRY’ renewed various records in Asia such as being selected as the Most Popular Song in Asia in 2009 by Thai Channel V and being ranked as the No. 1 song for 34 weeks in Taiwanese online music chart, ezpeer, and they displayed great ticket power proving their influence as Asia’s superstar by drawing near 200,000 spectators through 15 concerts in 9 cities including Seoul, Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Taipei, Nanjing, Kuala Lumpur, and Manila in the ‘Super Show 2’, their 2nd Asia tour.

The 4th album to be released on May 13th is comprised of total 11 songs in various genres including SJ FUNKY, hip hop, R&B ballad, and pop dance, all of which are the preview of more elegant and powerful music and performances and excellent stage presentations.

Title Song ‘BONAMANA’, the Completion of SJ FUNKY Genre! Addictive Rhythm and Witty Lyric!

The title song, ‘BONAMANA’ a ‘SJ FUNKY (SUPER JUNIOR FUNKY)’ song, the style that Super Junior is going to pursue continuously, and it was composed by the hit-maker, Young-Jin Yoo.
‘SJ FUNKY’ songs have already been introduced to music fans through ‘SORRY, SORRY’ and Super Junior M’s ‘Super Girl’ and ‘BONAMANA’ is considered the best work in this genre as much as the composer devoted himself to the song.

The combination of the cheerful groove of Afro tom (a percussive instrument) suggesting the dynamic African rhythm and the house beat, and the powerful riff of the Jupiter synth (a synthesizer sound source) suggesting the aggressive motions of Korean mask dancers are quite impressive, and also the lyric perfectly fits the mood of the song by describing the sincerity of a man trying to win the heart of the girl he fell in love with in witty and humorous words.

This album also contains songs of various charms showing more mature sensibility and vocal skills of Super Junior such as ‘Boom Boom’, a hip hop characterized by dark and intense mood and the powerful groove suggesting sexy feeling, ‘My All Is In You’, a pop ballad with elegant melody and dynamic vocal, ‘My Only Girl’, a trendy, medium tempo dance song, and ‘Shake It Up!’, a hook that excites listeners as soon as they hear the song.

Also, Yesung and Kyuhyun’s first duet, ‘Your Eyes’ and Ryeowook’s first solo, ‘One Fine Spring Day’ included in this album are drawing great attention. ‘Your Eyes’ depicts the sad feeling that comes from being incapable of expressing the heart toward the lover, and the voices of Yesung and Kyuhyun that touch the heart with different emotions enhance the ambience of the song. On the other hand, Ryeowook’s lyrical and sweet voice is perfectly balanced with the warm and sensitive melody and the sound of piano and string in ‘One Fine Spring Day.’

The album also presents ‘Good Person’, Toy’s hit song remade in the unique style of Super Junior, and ‘Here We Go’ that contains Super Junior’s vivacious, and delightful energy that the fans will be able to enjoy musical sensibility and colors on a broader range through all 11 songs of the new album.

Especially, this album’s jacket is produced in two different versions, and Version A which contains the mods & funk styled, more elegant and powerful, images of Super Junior will be released on the 13th and Version B which will present the natural charms of the members such as backstage photos and sketches of members at the music video set will be released on the 20th.

The comeback of Super Junior, the group standing at the peak of their popularity in Asia, will gather great attention from Korea as well as Asian music fans and become Asia’s hot issue.

► 1. 미인아 (BONAMANA)

The title song of the 4th album, ‘BONAMANA’ is a ‘SJ FUNKY (SUPER JUNIOR FUNKY)’ song, the style that Super Junior is going to pursue continuously, and it was composed by the hit-maker, Young-Jin Yoo.

‘Boom Boom’ is a hip hop characterized by dark and intense mood and the powerful groove like the title that makes body move to the beat, and it presents new type of charms of Super Junior. Going along with the sexy mood of the song, the lyric depicts a man who beholds and praises the girl he ran into and is so perfect that he can’t even dare to talk to.

► 3. 응결 (Coagulation)

This is the renowned ballad composer Chang-Hyun Park’s 4th work for Super Junior. The lyric likened the moment of meeting fervent heart with the coldness of the leaving lover to the drops of water on the window in the winter. This song becomes more impressive with the sound that vividly expresses the sensuous mood of the lyric and the mature vocalism of Kyuhyun, Ryeowook, and Yesung who control the flow of the song at will with their touching voices as the song reaches the climax.

► 4. 나란 사람 (Your Eyes)

‘Your Eyes’ is a duet by Yesung and Kyuhyun and it is the song that gives the elegant sensibility of original R&B ballad. The sad and touchy voice of Yesung and Kyuhyun double the mood of the song that describes the pain felt from the inability to express the feeling toward the love. Comparing the characteristics and charms of two voices throughout the song is also interesting.

► 5. My Only Girl

Elegant melody and perfect improvisation present more mature sensibility and vocal skills of Super Junior, being expected to become another favorite Super Junior song of the fans.

► 7. Shake It Up!

► 8. 잠들고 싶어 (In My Dream)

‘In My Dream’ is a ballad created with the rich sound from the real session and interesting composition that have clear stages of introduction, development, turn and conclusion. ► 9. 봄날 (One Fine Spring Day)

‘One Fine Spring Day’ is Ryeowook’s first solo, and the warm and sensible melody placed on beautiful piano and string brings out the sweet voice of Ryeowook. The lyric based on the actual experience of the lyricist depicts the yearning toward the beloved family in heaven.

► 10. 좋은 사람 (Good Person)

Toy’s ‘Good Person’ was remade in Super Junior’s unique style by keeping the sweet and beautiful emotion of the original version while making it trendy with electronica, giving a rebirth to ‘Good Person.’
